By boat and on foot to the Gaisalm

The boats of the Achensee fleet link Achenkirch, Pertisau and Maurach. The favourite outing is the crossing to the Gaisalm, the only alpine inn in Tyrol that can be reached on foot or by water alone. If you would rather walk, take the Mariensteig: it runs from Achenkirch along the car-free western shore all the way to Pertisau — right above the water, with a stop at the Gaisalm at the foot of the Karwendel nature park. And for the way back, the boat is waiting.
