Tobogganing
Toboggan evenings together
Christlum valley station — 200 m from the houseAchenkirch run — 3.5 km
Tobogganing belongs to winter at Lake Achensee as surely as the snow itself: six runs are spread across the region — and the nearest begins practically on the doorstep. The Achenkirch run starts at the Christlum Alm at 1,200 m: up with the Hochalm lifts to the middle station (the valley station is just 200 m from the apartment house), then 3.5 kilometres back down to the valley — moderate, about an hour and a half all in, with toboggan hire at the valley station. On Wednesday evenings the run is floodlit for the toboggan night, with the Christlum Alm as the meeting point and the place to warm up. The longest descent in the region waits at the Zwölferkopf above Pertisau: 4.8 kilometres and 630 metres of drop, floodlit until 11 pm.
